Creaking noise from back end so confused

  Clio Non Sport
Hello!
I've recently noticed a creaking sound from the back end of the car. It comes from very high up almost the roof/ boot panel. It creaks around just when the body of the car seems under stress, such as pulling away on a steep hill, sometimes on speed humps. I'm pretty sure it's not an exhaust issue as I've sat in the back with someone else driving and is definately too high up. Any ideas? It's not a massive issue but would like to sort it :/

Thanks

The bodysheel twists and moves so sounds can come from the wrong places.

I'd have a look at your rear axle bushes and damper/springs etc,

i had this exact problem, pulling off kerbs, speed bumps. drove me insane. You know what it was? Where the tailgate closes onto the rear quarters there are some small rubber stop type things that stop the bodywork touching. i pulled it out a bit and that was the end of it. have a look at that. you may be pleasantly surprised.
