creaking steering

any idea what is causing this? it has been doing it since i lowerd it but i have checked the springs and they are in place and i have got the washers but they have not solved it. it did go away for a while but it has come back with a vengence and gets quite embarissing. any ideas

cv boot might have split or the clips come undone

so if i grease it up and put the boot back on if it has come off do you recon that might sort it ?

well if its come off and you've got dirt inside it might cause problems in the future i think
