Cruise control buttons on steering wheel

Hi my steering wheel is melted all over the place and looks a right mess, any ways my current wheel has cruise control buttons, is it possible to swap these to a wheel with out the buttons?
Ive used the search button but cant seem to find anything

Why would you want to?

Search "steering retrim", theres a lad who'll retrim you a C-equipped steering wheel with leather that is actually made of leather.

My mates got a good condition 172 wheel that he will sell me cheap, it just doesnt have the cc buttons on the wheel. Just wondering if i can swap my cc buttons onto this wheel as it would work out cheaper than getting mine refurbed.
So does anyone no if can swap them? Or am i going to have to get it refurbed

Yes you can, the wheel is the same, the CC switches are just held by one screw each so you can transfer them to your non-equipped wheel. You will have to transfer the airbag as well though has yours has the side cut outs to fit the switches if you had planned replacing the airbag as well of course, if not no problem.

Great news! Thanks for confirming that mate, the airbag can be changed no probs. Its just the usual leather and grips that are knackered.
