Cruise control cancels when decreasing speed

So going up it's fine but if I lower the speed it cancels itself and just doesn't choose a set speed. Have to then press it on again.

Didn't always do this?

Mine does this also. Turn the cruise off at the switch, left it for a few days and turned it back on, was fine.

It has been suggested that the switches in the wheel are on the way out but I'm not convinced. I suspect it is just French electrics being French electrics

There isn't one on a 182. Also noticed the cc light flashes when reducing speed turning itself off and on

Iirc its a function of the body control module so maybe a fault somewhere there.

Does one of the buttons (resume I think?) Turn the green cc light off momentarily while you press it?
