cruise control / speed limiter

hello, my cruise control has never worked since ive had the car or the speed limiter, when i flick the switch the 'SET - - -' screen comes up, but my buttons do nothing...

wondering if theres a common fault with them, will try new switches if there not too dear...?

id try to see if the buttons are connected mate, i know someones that were disconnected when they took the steering wheel off

Have you checked the switch down to the right of the steering wheel is in the correct position??? Mine did this as i thought it was a similar system to vw/audi/skodas, you need to select the cruise/speed limiter before you can use it, youll know its on because youll get a green (cruise) or orange (speed limiter) symbol in the bottom right on the dash display.....

If you see SET -- on the little screen and when you press + or - nothing happens, then you must replace the switch under the clutch (7700431512)

replaced that switch and still no joy, any other ideas?

As said have you actually checked you've got it turned on?
Rocker type switch on the panel to the right of the steering wheel on lower dash?

yeah checked the switch both ways and pushed all the buttons...

Does the switch actually 'lock' into place, or does it go straight back to centre?

yeah it locks both ways just as it should, light comes up both ways 'set- - -'comes up, but it wont set!

i have just bought a clio sport and on the way home cruise control worked
just been out tonight and i have to hold the rocker switch in the up posistion for it to stay on. as soon as i let go c/c turns off, any ideas?

sounds like you need a new switch
