Cruise Control...

Is it possible to fit it to a 1.2 8v or 1.2 16v Campus/Campus Sport.

I do a lot of motorway miles but need a new cheap car. (Had an old MK2 a few years ago which was brill)

Is the 1.2 8v/16v drive by wire?

I understand I would need a few parts:

Headlight adjustment switch with buttons
Airbag & Buttons to go on the airbag
Clutch Switch

Will most of the wiring already be there? I've fitted cruise control on a few Vauxhalls, just needed to fit a clutch switch, replace the stalk and have it enabled in the Tech2.

Im guessing it will need enabling on the computer system Renault use.

I'm not to fused regarding the cost within reason. It costs £250 as a factory fit option on the new clio.

Just get it factory fitted for ease.

Yep there drive by wire.

Wiring isn't there and looms are different ECU is different etc its just to much effort.

Bets option is to get one of the stand alone cruise control system if you want but personally I wouldn't bother.

Can't order Cruise Control as a factory option on the Campus shame really.

I need Cruise Control really, I get pains in my feet too easy .

I was thinking to get it fitted it might have just been the above parts I listed and a reprogram of the ECU.

Local dealer doesnt seem to know much about it, I asked if there could order them with it and there said no

Fit an accessory one, they are not as sophisticated (ie no over speed warning ) but everything else is the same,
I used to fit the VDO tempostat, they were identical to the OEM BMW at the time.

I cant find VDO but look here....
