Cruise control .

I bought a 182 today done a search but could not find any info really so silly question , how do you turn the cruise control on

Flick the switch on control panel on the right hand side green light on the dash. If you get the orange light, that is the speed limiter, flick the switch the other way:
When your at the speed you want just press the + or -. That will keep you at that speed then obviously + and - will speed or slow you down.
The the other button R and 0 I think it is. If your cruise control has cancelled out and you want to get back to your cruise speed just press R, and if you want to cancel off the cruise control press the 0.
