Steering angle sensor - 172 cup owners

Do the 172 cups have a steering angle sensor?

I have a ph1 track project and I think I have broken the steering angle sensor. I don't have ABS or traction control so I am questioning if I really even car if the sensor doesn't work and just rip it out. I wanted to check if this sensor is used for anything else so I guess looking at the 172 cup is a good starting point.

The Cup does not have a steering angle sensor iirc.
