After having an altercation with a kerb one day a few weeks ago I'm having some serious trouble finding someone to paint up my spare alloy the same as the ones already on the car...

So I'm in a bit of a pickle, my options:

  • Have all of the wheels done again, colour unknown? (Black? Silver? Anthracite? Bronze?)
  • Try to find someone to paint it up to match? (I think it's going to be costly and may not turn out perfect)
  • Get some different interesting wheels (i.e top gear tom's deep dish or some Williams wheels I've taken a fancy too)
Thing is, I've become quite attached to the green (despite not being keen at first), the mrs likes it too as she can spot me when I pick her up from work etc (bad eyesight)

All opinions/photoshops welcome.

Re paint them silver. Black wheels only look good with tyre gel on there all the time IMO - Which I doubt you ever do.

Also tyre gel + Enthusiastic driving is a no go lol.

That is just my opinion mind. Love silver oz f1's

  Whichever has fuel
Any bodyshop can do it! It takes about 5 minutes to get the coulour tabs out and find out which colour it is. Whoever you spoke to is a lazy b*****d.

Dan, no one is game to do two colours, especially spraying a rim on, your mate must be a one man miracle!!! Even some proper crazy wheel specialist down in tonbridge wouldn't touch it. Tossers. lol!

Luke, I quite like black f1's as long as they're gloss they look alright most of the time. Although I really like silver fresh f1's, I can't help but think the car would look a little boring???

Considering doing them silver myself tbh, although I'm scared of them ending up dark when lacquering as usual! LOL!

I may prep, prime and paint them myself, then have a bodyshop or similar lacquer them.

Just respray them all similar to what you have at moment

No idea how to get such a neat lip myself tbh. Also if I were going to do them all myself, I'd prefer a change I think?

Just colour them in with perminant marker.

Cheek! My wheel painting skills are good man, just my lacquering makes things FAR too dark! LOL!

I've done a few sets of wheels now, I do a mean "dark silver"

Guess I'll have to figure something out mate, cheers for trying though :)

That green does look similar, but not quite bright enough I don't think.

Not sure what a polished edge would look like, may just go all out and refurb them all silver myself....
