cts reading

  FF Racing Blue 182
Hi there, my car seems to be reading -40 sometimes. Its in the garage and its had the cts and stat replaced with genuine parts.

It seems to be on the cold map but its not hitting the limiter early. Could the cold map be mapped out or maybe its had the 98ron map ?

What would the idle and limiter be set to if its had one of these maps.

Thanks

When you reads -40, how do you know that?

The map does help with the idle and cold start. 1100 cold and 800 ish hot iirc

Most likely an open circuit on the CTS wiring rather than the sensor itself causing it to default to -40 BUT try wiggling the sensor first and see if the data stream updates. I've seen a few non-genuine items do similar things before.

It defaults back to -40. Its plugged in to some sort of machine and its reading it.

I've not heard back yet but i know they were putting another on in. What is an open circuit?

A map won't make it sit a-40?
