Had 172 previously and this had a seperate book for services.

Not sure if it's the case for yours, but the newer 200's no longer have a service book. It's all done electronically.

My Megane also came without one but i purchased one and the leather wallet from Wests Renault on here i think? I prefer having both for peice of mind.

I can't see that ending well in the future tbh...

It works pretty well. My wifes 02 Nissan Micras data is all stored on a database. We lost here service book and were able to get a copy. I guess the same will happen with Renault. I have never recieved any reciepts for warranty work carried out but its all stored on a database with service information.

As said it just makes selling that little bit harder as someone will need to make a call but if all the information is recorded correctly it will give a very detailed account of what the car has had done and hopefully cut out books just getting stamped up.

All cars details are stored electronically on a type of database. For the dealers records more than anything. Phone Renault and ask them about any car and they can give you details. There should be a 'service' part to the main hand book for all of these new cars.
