Cup or not

Well they only came in silver or blue iirc, they usually have a 172 Cup badge on the door pillars too, or somewhere near there.

  Golf GTD Mk7
Silver and blue yeah. Cup alloys, lower, blue dash inserts (although that might just be with the blue one). No xenons, washers. Slightly lower. Non leather interior. I'm sure there are a few other bits

Stamp on the brakes at 70mph in the wet, if you're older than about 30, it will remind you of how brakes used to be. If you're younger, you'll probably be in the hedge or up somebody's chuff.

Knuckles that document is brilliant - exactly what I was looking for in my earlier thread haha. Thanks mate :D

Haha!

Also do a mock insurance quote on it and enter the reg and see what the page says.

Difference in weight is same as having a passenger or not, really isn't much of a performance advantage, but there is a big comfort advantage in the leather/Aircon etc.

Suspension is better though on the cup.

The advantages of the cup become apparent when they are fettled with.

If its a track car, cup makes sense, for a road car though personally I would sooner have the creature comforts, and anyway people can always do like my mrs has and retrofit the cup shocks and suspension arms etc so that you get the handling advantages without the poverty spec :)
