Cup owners please read

I took delivery of my Cup back in September and have returned it to the dealer two times already, third time soon as I am so unhappy with a front suspension & engine noise - wanted to know if any other cup owners out there that may have experienced any faults with theirs or just have to feel unlucky that I am having problems with mine. I have to keep complaining to Renault who seem to not be able to come up with a solution to date..... anyone ?????

Perhaps you could be a bit more specific about the problems The 172/Cups are nice cars but aint no Mercs at the end of he day!

Loud clunking noise on turing either way 90 degrees when you slow down to aproximately 10-15 mph. Uphill more than down however the noise is continual when trying to get up a bendy multi storey car park entrance. One of the engine mountings was tightned ( which had been adjusted on a few other CUPS at that dealer ) and near side shock absorber changed

The engine noise is like a tappet or piston slap type of noise heard only when the engine is warm - irritating

Mercs they are not however I do not accept this on a brand new car !

lots of 172/cups have mounts which are not tight enough from the factory, its become part of the test on the PDI....lol

cant suggest a solution as it happents durning turning, usually associate clunking with hard accelreation.
