Cup Pedals

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2

Dont know if anyone else had this strange situation this morning...

Used hot water to get rid of the ICE of the Cup this morning, -2 degrees outside. Got inside, started her up etc, put on some music, lights, heater etc.

However... shoes became frozen to pedals! Were sticky for about 10 mins whilst the car warmed up.

Anyone else or just me?

Blimey your pedals must have been freezing to stick to your wet feet.

Do they not have wee rubber buttons on the pedals ?

nah they are completly metal.

Cool, funny if you tried to hit the brake and your feet were stuck to the acc pedal, imagine trying to explain that to the police.

  Weeman sucks ****

WATER ON YOUR WINDSCREEN, ARE YOU MAD?!

My cup read -4 this morning!! My pedals were fine though.

Interesing fact:

Did you know that hot water will freeze quicker than cold water ?

My car was at -5 when I headed out at 11:30 today.

Never use hot water to clear ice or frost of the glass. It can cause the glass to crack. If it is really cold the water will just freeze up even thicker.

Get a decent scraper or use a credit card in emergencies.

The metal pedals do freeze to wet soles. That is why you are not supposed to lick cold metal...tongues stick as well! It was a common problem when I was a kid...

Well Id much rather be stopped by the police for having feet stuck to my pedals than the total embarrassment of having me tounge stuck to them.:)

Ok didnt know that about Hot water - <goes to shop and buys scraper> hehe!

Never did try that, but it sounds like fun. It would just be carrying my foot fetish that bit further. I would be sure to do it only on warm days though...

I find the pedals are actually a bit slippy when your feet are wet. Stalled mine as I drove it away from the showroom because my foor slipped off the clutch.

I find the pedals are no problem, I guess it depends on what type of shoes you have on, and the pattern of grip on the bottom of them in relation the the grip pattern on the pedals.
