Cup Purchase - Question!

I went a checked out a Cup yesterday at my local Renault dealers. Very nice indeed. Booked a test drive, etc, etc. However, just one question. They are going to charge me £13000 for the car? WTF? I heard they were cheaper. Like nearer the £11000 mark?

Any suggestions on what to do? Other than not buy it!!

  Scirocco GT TSi DSG

I noticed they had raised the price when I visited their website yesterday, I assume it is because they are so popular. You can always try and get one on import.

  172, Tiguan

Indeed the price for a non climate car is £13k and with climate is £13695.

I managed to get dealer down to £12.8K on a climate car a couple of weeks back.

I can get a Cup from the web for £10995 but I really dont want to go down that route. I prefer the dealers but its looking like Im going to have to pay the higher price.

Renaults RRP for a new Cup (non-climate) as £13k.

If anyone has gotten a btter deal from a dealer for a cup its beacause they have negotiated a deal (probably margins on trade-in etc)

You can get an import 172 for £11,995 from car supermarkets like motorpoint.

i was offered a cup for £12,200 by my local dealer at one branch, the other said as the cup was so rare and in such demand it would be list price...so rare that he then said he could have me one in 2 weeks!

  Golf 1.4 TSI

just found a cheaper one with delivery miles (6miles) for 10,980 @ chapel walks garage, pre registered but brand new, not an import and comes with usual standard renault warranty etc. think its in warrington

was looking at a cup about a month ago with 70miles on the clock for £10,999 at a main dealer, this car was like brand new!! ...dealer said the bloke who bought it suddenly needed the cash and sold it back to them at a week old!!! They are out there, just takes a bit of time to find....:)

The one in warrington has been on that site for ages. i spotted it back in about March. I believe it was when Ranult offered dealers the chance to pre-register cars on an 03 plate to sell on at a lower price to generate a lot more interest.

errr....

I think it was car partners.

chester / stafford.

how serious are you?

Not too bad then, I am Lancashire.

How serious I am depends on the price, how long it takes to get one, will it be registered in my name first and also if my car gets sold soon (maybe tonight), plus I have other cars I am considering.

But, for the money nothing can touch a Cup!
