Cup rear brake bias

  Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
Is there anything wrong with my car?

When i have been out for an "enthusiastic" drive, obviously the front discs and wheels are hot after the abuse they have just received, but the rear discs dont even feel warm, just concerned that there may be a problem with the brake bias etc as they dont seem to be getting used!
If there was a problem, would the car flag it up or not as it is a cup and as...... well..... nothing lol

Is this a problem? if so is it a common one easily rectified? :banghead:

are your rear pads touching the discs?? i've has a few clios with a similar problem

easiest way to check is to jack up the back of the car and get a mate to put his foot of the pedal as you spin the wheel

the fix

slacken off handbrake cable and remove from rear calipers, pump pedal about 10 times, re attach cables and retighten

hi chaps, had the same on my cup and it failed its first mot,the valve sticks so only makes front brakes work.get under the the rear and check to see if its got the connecting rod.undo the nut to the trailing arm then lube up the hinge etc its probly stuck.if you have an extra rubber bush you could stack up the rod and close the valve making the valve operate fully.renault know about valve seizure but they wont cover it under warranty. hope this helps.
