Cup ride quality

  E36 323i coupe

Right, I know the cars supposed to be a rough and ready road going rally car but does everyone else who owns one feel as tho they are going down a forest track on normal roads?

Dont know about the Cup, but I had my mk1 172 lowered today and my whole body is now aching from the harshness of the ride. Worth it though.

The cup is very bouncy and hard, it would do your nut in if you were doing lots of m/w business miles.... The 172 suspension is so much more comfier and soack up the bumps so much better.

I feel EVERY bump. Am wondering if buying the thing was such a good idea, as most of my driving is into work and back... ie... into town and back

I drove over 100 miles in y0z2as cup over the weekend and reckon it rides better than my 172. Its by no means any stiffer and seemed to ride bumps rather than crash into them.

I have no idea what all this talk of the cup being a raw machine is, its possitively civilised.

LMAO @ Lee. Round here in the middle of nowhere it does get a bit tiresome i must admit, hehe. But hey thats what i expected and its great.:D

Yep, good workout if you ask me. Throw it round a few bends and bumpy roads and im knacked! All good tho, lovely feel for whats going on!:D

Are you lot all soft or what? Try and drive a TVR or an early 911. Then youll know what hard work is. Even a Rover 100 is harder to drive than a Cup.

Cup Suspension. it may be fine on a smooth racetrack, but not in the real world of british road surfaces. I bought mine with a view to rallying it - noway safe or possible on bumpy lanes. the 172 sport is easier and safer in my opinion, and im looking to try and head in that direction with spring rates.
