Cup with cc or full fat

If its full fat your wife is after and you dont oblige...she might go looking for it elsewhere so id say give her the full fat shes after :devilish:

Yeah, a cup with CC is ideal, thats what Id have had if I could have found one at the time. You might as well go for a 182 though, you can get them for such good prices now.

What are the major differences between the Cup and full fat. I know about the climate control, wheels, suspension... anything else?

172 Cups only had Climate control as an option towards the end of 2003. Along with silver paint and a 6 disc changer. The 182 Cups have standard AC like the lower clios.

The Cup is slighty lower and stiffer, has a wider track due to the turinis and is 80kg lighter than full fat. Less sound proofing,no gadgets,no spare and thin glass.

I got a Cup but as I dont do trackdays or 1/4s I wish Id got the full fat now.

For me there is no question, I would get the cup everytime even though I think the colour sucks

If you are a serious driver and savour everytime you go out then the clio cup is for you. If you arent bothered about that and just want a nippy car to get from a to be then get the 172

thats alright, get a silver cup !!

The only thing i dont like on cups are the seats. Also i wasnt aware that they had a/c (i knew climate was an option) just never new about air con as standard.

Depends on your taste. Ive got a chubby 172 and a good friend has a Cup, both can be very quick around a track with a decent driver.

Personally i wussed out when given the choice of both new, went for the Leather, Climate, Cruise, Sound Proofing, Thicker Glass and quieter ride.

Others went for a stripped, noisy, slightly quicker Cup. Some swear that its a million times quicker, but it isnt imo.

Drive both and then choose

yeah but it comes with the nicest wheels and the best colour. well thats why i got mine.

That why I bought it too but imo a black 172 with turinis is just as nice

Cup without CC. Dont be a wuss. Standard Cup comes with a/c anyway.

was it ?? thats not what Mike says?

full fat, the only exception is the Trophy IMO.

Keep the wife happy and go for full fat, but some cups are a bit mental:D
