dunno what ED grade mean but sounds like its been returned or something. why would it be graded if it was brand new?

Edit: I'm guessing graded is the standard i.e. Nikon have stuck a gold ring on it... complete guess!

Items that are classed as "Graded" are new items which have been returned to the manufacturer, either because of slight cosmetic damage, a minor fault or defect, or as a store 30 day return. All Graded products are factory reconditioned to the manufacturer's original specification, and come with a complete 1 Year guarantee. With Graded stock there is a chance that there may be a minor cosmetic mark, however this is considered in the price and will not affect the performance of the product.
