Currently broken down - M5 North Exeter

Was driving along at 70 then all of a sudden lost all throttle, drove into the hard shoulder and waiting for recovery. Anyone experienced this before? I've checked the belts and all seem in place, possibly timing out? This happened to anyone?

Shouldn't make too much of a difference where he is.

Throttle body i reckon mate. Happened to me, althouhh mine did start again after 10 mins of it standing.
If u have the tools get it out an give it a clean.
This is purely based on past experiance btw, other people on here will have better knowledge

Its still ticking over then? But not responding to throttle.

Would suggest some sort of wiring/pedal issue surely?

Air filter off, looked down throttle body, and spotted what looks like the remainder of a valve.

I'm sourcing a second hand engine at the moment, I'l buy a new belt kit then get it timed up by a specialist then get my local garage to fit the engine. Really could do without this at the moment, s**t happens.
