no need to touch fuel pressure at all

durability was the main reason (and ease) plus the added saftey factor - main reasons why the cup racers used them

I think AT Power that sells their ITB product through Jamsport came with a billet fuel rail which had a threaded end to fix a braided line too. because the plastic OEM clip on mine was cracked by a trader when removing and blew itself off the fuel rail a month later. Id personally like a metal fuel rail which i can run about 100mm of braided line from then fix the braided part to oem hose using a high compression fitting. As Danny and Fred said it is pointless for the expence/benifit but its reasurance for me and gets rid of the plastic clip design. Oh and it looks the bollox!
