Cutting out and dodgy idle

Basicly i have bought myself a 96 1.8 16v. It's all running fine apart from the fact it sometimes cuts out when i come to a hold at junctions. When i blip the throttle the revs will sometimes die right down allmost stalling and then climb back up to 1 and a half thou before dropping back down after a period of time.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

i had that one my old 1.2, but that was due to ghey petrol.

idle sensor maybe?

probably needs cleaning too ^^

yeh i had the exact same problem in an Rsi took out the sensor and gave it good clean and certainly noticed a difference.
