Hi guys,
My 182 passenger outer cv boot has split, Im ordering a new boot kit tommorow, just wondering if you can 'knock' the cv joint off the driveshaft so I can clean it out and get the new boot over? On my Golf it was held on with a circlip and a tap from behind popped it off.
The reason I ask is because Ive heard you need to remove the shaft from the gearbox, which isnt really an option at the moment.
