Daemon Tools

I updated Daemon Tools recently and now if I restart my machine or boot up when Windows loads it will autorun whatever I previously mounted. Say for example if I have had a game mounted and if I restart it will autorun the game when Windows reboots which is quite annoying. Now you can turn off a few settings so this doesn't happen but you loose the image that was mounted so you have to re mount if you want to use it - the older daemon tools never did this .

Any Ideas???

downgrade to the previous version then.

Also I am just running the Lite version.

downgrade to the previous version then.

It's obviously been updated for a reason so want to try and get round it without rolling back!

Surely it's Windows doing the autoplaying?

Nope its Daemon Tools as I can stop it doing it but lose the image that is mounted and have to select it manually.

There is also an option to disable the feature! I am almost 100% sure.... I installed it for a mate a couple of days ago and saw it.

These are the options available.

As you can see "automount" is disabled so when I boot into Windows it doesnt autorun the mounted images as the image is no longer mounted.

When you boot into windows though unless you've manually unmounted the image won't it always be mounted until you tell it otherwise?

I've only used old versions but I'd check the autoplay settings for the drives in windows as well to be sure.

Thats what I am saying I want the image to be mounted i.e for the image to be where it was before I rebooted but I dont want it to autoplay when Windows boots up.

The image can be there (mounted) without it autoplaying. AFAIK it's Windows that decides if it autoplays a disc.

Well its strange that it only started doing it when Daemon tools was update, nothing has been altered within Windows.

It was the automount that I saw.... must be the windows settings then?

But nothing has changed in Windows and with it being Vista aswell the autorun settings are set via file types mainly.

Right find out that this Daemon Tools will auto play as well as auto mount when Windows boots. So chose the correct setting in Daemon tools and disabled the auto play options for game file types and all seems to be fine .
