Damaged locking wheel nut question

  Ph2 Flamer
Hi I've got these poxy locking wheel nuts which came with the car and one is fubar'd to the extent the key won't stay on when you try to undo the wheel.

I've seen this thing at halfords http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...ocking Wheel Nut Remover&source=shopping#dtab but does anyone know if this would work on my locking nut as it has a sort of collar round the nut which spins round to stop you just sticking a set of mole grips on it to twist it off.

If not how the hell do I get this nut off, not really up for drilling it out as I'd no doubt knacker something else. If I take it to any garage should they have the right bits and bobs to whip it off??

Cheers

Same problem with mine at the moment, got my locking nut key jammed in a locking nut though so cant remove the rest!

Im taking it to the garage and getting a socket welded onto the locking nut, then removing them like that, £20 odd they want for it around here.

this has to be one of the only threads where all the answers are the same (other than that a tow ring is gash). Gonna start ringing round garages tomorrow

Happened to me. Took it to a garage.

He got a chisel and a hammer. Smacked the chisel in to the nut a few times and the nut literally came loose and fell out!! LOL

Easy as sh*tting
