Damaged repaired cars??

Car  Clio 172
Hi guys

Just wondering what your views on buying accident damaged/repaired cars or if anyone on here has bought 1 of these. There seems to be a fair few for sale for a good price.

Thanks

Welcome, maybe worth doing a search really as a few threads have come up about buying a cat d car etc.

Few threads as in, today was the latest one, it's still on page 1, rofl.

in my personal view i wouldnt buy one but there are some good repairs out the depends on the type of smash though ive herd alot of cars never drive the same again.

+1

Wouldn't waste my money, trouble selling as well.

depends on the car. some can get you a nice car for a lot less money, just beware of the cost of parts for some brands/models. they appear thousands cheaper but the repair bills mount up quick. Just like buying any car, go and look at it and if your not knowledgeable take somebody that is with you.

Thanks, and apologies for not doing my h/w before hand was in work and could only get a few mins to post a thread if I'd of started searching for threads I would of got carried away lol, now home I've had a good look, gonna leave damaged/repaired cars well alone.

Thanks again

My last car was cat d, minor rear damage, i sold it no probs and got what i paid for it.

bought my 182 as a cat c write off and repaired it, right pain in the arse, needed a hell of a lot of money throwing at it, and wasn't worth it in the long run, I won't see any of my money back if i ever sell it. PM me if you need more information

I got one (Cat C) which had been fully repaired with no damage to the underneath, drives perfectly and hasn't let me down in half a year of owning it! :)

Lots of people on here are snobs towards them.

Lots of cars will have been crashed and repaired a HPI check only tells you if a car has been a full write off.

So you might be driving one now and you'll never know.
