Dash info only half working?

Recently had a headlight out, and the great chaps at birchdown sorted this for me, had to solder a new piece of wire in as part had corroded. all done fine, happy bunny

i was on the drive home and noticed that my average mph, distance since last re-set work, but my mpg, and my digital petrol left dont work (although the petrol gauge itself does)

any thoughts anyone?

birchdown have asked me just to pop back to have a look which is good, id just rather save myself the trip

First off, do test.

Hold the button on the end of the wiper stalk and turn the ignition on, it'll do a load of crap.

Then reset the trip etc and then fill the car up.

If it doesn't sort it, back to birchdown.

its weird as half of the info is working but not the other half. its as if there isnt a sensor gauging the petrol, but there is as the petrol tank one works (speedo-esq)

You say only half the info is working on the display but the rest, do they simply not show up at all or do they simply show - - - - ?

Put some miles on it/a few trips to give it time to work out the average mpg and range. Battery has been disconnected so it has lost the previously stored info.

ive driven it a few times, disconnected the battery, driven it, filled it up. and nothings changed

ive reset it by pushing the stalk in then turning the keys, and a load of things happen. but this hasnt fixed it
