dash light problem

I cant get the lights for illuminating my dials to work. I have tried all my fuses and changed the bulbs.

Any ideas on how to fix it as its hard seeing how fast your going at night

i have the same problem every now and again but mine cuts the Dials as well so they dont even move. but then i bang the dash and they come back on. i think mines a loose wire behind the dash tho i just cant get behind the clocks to look. well cant find how to get behind the dash to look

i have tried the dimmer switch, took the wires out and bypassed the dimmer switch but still no luck.

craig taking the dash off is really simple, 3 t-20 screws on top of the dash on the heater vents and 2 on the side of the dash when you open the doors. The top just pulls off and you can see the clocks exposed. Undo the 2 screws on the top of the clocks and there is 2 others below that you need to get at from underneath. It sounds daunting but its really simple, the hardest thing i found was gettin the spedo cable from the back of the clocks. To do this you just squeeze the white round plug and it should pull off.
