dash light

hi all i have a 1.6 8v si and got the dash light stop on when im driving and never goes off anyone know what it means and how to get rid of it im guessing its sumin to do with the ecu please help

The stop light is to do with your handbrake.
Is it all the way down?

If so then you will need to remove it a check the switch

What other lights are also on?

no other lights come on.
in the handbook it says

STOP light​

It extinguishes as soon
as the engine starts.
This illuminates together with​

one of the warning lights:
these lights are handbrake
coolent warning
oil pressure warning
and battery warning.

i think i may have a faulty light and remains on with the coolant light as this never comes on when starting the car.or the sensor is nakerd and thinks its working fine???i dont know im lost on it

and simon the hanbrake light goes out when handbrake is off but where is the switch so can check this anyway
