dash loom to engine loom 172 ph1 engine

Hey all
am new to the forums and am currently doing a conversion for scottynooo by putting a ph1 172 engine into his megane coupe yr 2000 which was a 1.6,

I have the engine in and all i have left to do is connect up the loom, the 172 engine loom is all connected to the engine but i am having some issues connecting the engine loom to the loom that runs back to the dash! Some of the connectors fitand others are the same shape plugs but the pins inside the plugs dont quit align male to female.

I would very much appreciate it if anyone could tell whether there is a easy or relatively easy solution to this! I was hoping that the loom running from the engne bay to the dash was directly interchangeable with out much modification as i cannot get hold of any wiring diagrams at the minute.

Thanks for your time

trace out the old meggy engine loom and trace the 172 engine loom too. then you'll know which wire does what. redo the 172 plug to match the megane one..

if the plugs arent aligning, i'd chop off the original meggy engine loom plug and fit that to the 172 loom
