dash top won't come out..!

Hey guys,
I am trying to remove the top of the dash on my 172 phase 2 (which I've done a few times in the past)
but one of the hinges wont let it go and I'm afraid I will brake it....
Any ideas?

I find the tabs on top of the airbag can get stuck. You should be able to push down/hit the airbag section while pulling towards you and it should come free.

On one of mine these tabs bent and wouldn't let the dash come out, had to remove the passenger airbag through the tiny gap underneath too free it.

*Assuming its the passenger airbag side of course

If mine ever gets stuck, I push down on the dash with one hand and forward with the other. Seems to untangle the Tabs. I think some come out perfect due to being new/never removed and others that have been butchered back in in the past are the culprits.
