Dash wrapping

  Clio 1.2 8v
Anyone know the best place to get fabric that can be used to wrap a dash board, like a swede or towelled effect kinda like touring cars in a way, been looking and it's not easy to find, was considering going to a fabric shop to get some? Help would be appreciated.

Just get it flocked

Buy a 2nd hand dash and send it off for flocking then swap over and sell the standard one

Yeah, flocking is a million times easier. The finish, I feel, is a bit tacky though.

I've tried to do a dash in alcantara, and believe me, its not easy.

Really want a spongey swede feel but fabric is stupidly expensive, have a friend who re upolsts furniture shouldn't be out of his skills range

Go to dunelm mill they do black suede for £11.99 a metre and just glue it on, as long as you trim the edges right should be alright.

If your friend upholsters furniture, then surely he will have contacts to source most materials for you?
Tried asking him the question?

no passenger airbag in my clio, got rid of it. never really drive a lot of people about tbh, also my friend is an upholster but he doesn't use a lot of Swede materials and isn't able to get for less than dunelm
