dask board light

drove my 182 to airport at night about a hour dask board light suddenly turn off but headlamp light ok stop at airport l manual switch on the headlamp dask board light come up n l switch off the headlamp light n dask board light ok so what wrong

Could be anything from wiring to fuses.

I had this on my old clio where the dashboard lights were not illuminated when the headlights were on - turned out to be a blown fuse caused by a short circuit on the left rear light cluster!!

Check to see if all your indicators/brake lights function properly too.

is there an adjustment for the brightness of the illumiation?

Check the fuses first, but if your not happy doing this, give Renault a call, and get them to have a quick look at it. Its under warranty?
