anyone had any experince of these??

looking to get one but where do you find the "modded" roms to get all the channels etc, looking for a bit of a begineers guide!

its a box that u buy connect it to yer telewest tv cable (basically a standard box modified to run linux), and then u can watch all the channels, theres also a satalite version

Clever little gadget, I got mine recording to my PC's hard drive accross the network. It's got a web interface so I can record stuff even when I'm not at home. You can do all sorts of stuff with it. Don't think you can buy them new anymore, they all seem to be refurbished. A couple of good forums:

The Dreambox (not DBox) seems to be newer and better, more memory, faster processor and better networking. You can get some models with a hard drive as well.
