DCI gearbox

Hi. Just wondering if there’s any pros or cons to fitting a dci gearbox?

Only want was a spare really because the car will be doing track days. So just want something as a back up in the house.

Depends what you're putting it in. The ratios on the JC5 dCi box suit a turbo car more

On an NA car it can make it worse for track

There was a thread on here a while ago about building a "genuine 300hp turbo 182" and the OP said that he found the box to be too log ratios under 300hp but perfect over that if I remember right

Keeping it N/A. Maybe throttle bodies down the line. But definitely no boost.
