Dci problems - revs soar with a grinding noise??!

  Clio DCi 100
Hey guys, sorry if this is a a repost...

I got a problem with the revs soaring when i put my foot down...(its a remapped clio dci 100...)

It used to do it only when when i accellerated hard in 4th or 5th, but it now does it in 3rd & its started to worry me...

Does anyone have any idea wot this may be?

I cleaned the EGR valve, pipe & housing the other day but it seems to hav made the problem worse...

If i'm racing a car & boot it in 3rd, 4th and into 5th the revs shoot up disproportionate to the speed & theres kind of a grinding noise i can hear / feel.....clutch slipping??

Also when really gunning it, the engine management lights (the coil ones in the middle) flash up & it cuts the power meaning i lose momentum

Any ideas wots going on here? could i finally be reaping the consequences of an engine remap?

Sounds like clutch release bearing to me. I've done a few 1.5s that came in for metallic chatter its usually play the EGR valve rod although with a good clean it usually quitens down.
