dCi 80 came out spring 2003, won nearly every small diesel award going and so i bought one!
the earliest are about May 2003, so most are 53, 04 on
3K+, 6-7K for the latest low mileage minters (55's)
considered best of 3 cos low low insurance (mine is £300 FC protected with declared mods, claims, conviction and business use!) and tax
BUT still re-map to much much more than a standard factory 100

65 came out, then a year later the 80, then a year later, the 100.
3 years in a row as Black_Kro said they won all the MPG/Best hatch diesel etc etc going. Autocar said the 65bhp would do 105+mpg at a constant 56mph. Renault where considering launching the 100 as a hot hatch but it never really took off.

As per the link below May 2002 they were first released.
The 80 wasn't as popular at first.
