De-cat

  None
Just a few questions as got mine today. BTW the car is a mk1 1.2 with standard exhaust system currently on for the moment. Anyway...

1. Shall I fit it now or wait until I get a Powerflow exhaust done (could be a long wait for that)??

2. If I fitted it now will it fit straight on my standard exhaust??

3. Will it make a noticable difference with my standard exhaust??

4. Will it make any difference with a Powerflow exhaust?? The Powerflow will be a de-cat back exhaust with a 2.5" single bore at the end

Thanks in advance :)

I can't speak for your 1.2 but i've just fitted mine to my 182 with the standard exhaust on.Improved the sound 10 fold and most definately revs more freely after 4500RPM. Obviously an aftermarket exhaust will improve it even more but i'd say put it on now as you said you might be a while saving up for your new exhaust. If its the correct model it should fit straight on.
Hope this helps someway.

Imo, it would be the other way around, The low down torque would go up?!

I just got a decat on yesterday, never really got the chance to have a good "blast" but damn, it's a lot Louder :D and rev's better from what I can tell. This is with a full AAS system too.

got pretty much the same car as you and it improves it a lot from what it was, a much better sound too even on standard. Put it on now! right now! ;)
