nothing out of the ordinary other than the cat to mani fixing kit.
off he top of my head you will need 10mm spanners, 19mmspanner? (for lambda), copperslip grease, hammer and blunt implement to knock cup washers out of mani fixing, a jack, axle stands. think thats about it.
it will be quite obvious when you get under the car. not the hardest job to do but it can be a pain in the ass if you are working with a jack rather than a ramp/lift.

i have a pit, so thats one problem out of the way! you mentioned the knocking the cup washers out of the mani fixing? what exactly is this?

you can either leave the washer in the mani flange as it will be rusted in! or you can get a hammer to it and remove them and fit the new ones. i would personally fit the new ones and file/sand/whack with a hammer the surface rust off the mani flange.

i would always replace the fixing kit and donut washer between the mani and cat. you will 99% sure have an exhaust leak if the donut washer is not replaced.

i popped by quick fit once and they gave me a free one. same donut washer as the pug 306. i would try local motor store.

i have now fitted the decat...there seems to be a leak betweet where the decat joins to the next box...not where it joins to the manifold...

this is the bit on the decat which has a little rubber bit on the end...should there be a seal or something betweet the decat and the next box?

thanks
