De-Cat

  RB 182 cup
Just a quick question..

i bought a RB 182 cup from glasgow 2 weeks ago and i'm loving it.. its got a meercat exhaust system based on the RS192 and its de-cat.

The engine management light turned off as soon as i left on my journey from Glasgow to Cardiff and has been off since.. it just come back on 15 minutes ago..

Is this normal and can i just take it as its due to the de-cat? or could it be something other than this which needs to be sorted? the car seems to be running like it used too but dont want it blowing up :)

It doesn't make one bit of difference to how the car runs if the light comes on mate . It's only the post cat lambda sensor . Some people run with it tied up out of the way and a bung in the hole , i've got my lambda sensor in the decat and the light hasn't come on since i refitted it . The first time i put the decat on it came on withing a few days , i just reset it with an OBII scanner and it never came on again . I wouldn't worry about it . Your car won't blow up lol .
