Dead Car??

Ok went out to my car just now and go to open the car with the remote, NOTHING.?
so i try to open the car and its open, put the key into the ignition and nothing, not even tick over, as i hold the key upwards in the ignition barrel, the lights on the dash start flickering and the dial needles go up and down, so i take out the key as i dont wanna break it.
i try the hazzard lights nothing, radio nothing.

Is it my battery or worse??

P.S I used the car yesterday morning the car locked as normal and i hadnt left the lights on or anything.

Any help would be great.

Dead battery or fuse , stick it on charge and try later.

phew, my dad is coming over and gunna give me a jump start, i'll see how that goes, otherwise its a new battery!! Any recommendations on batteries??
Also ive got to keep an eye on the car as i cant lock it!

£80 from Halfords mate and you can also take your old one in and they will test it first

Its OK i got a new one in Kwik Fit for £65 with 3 years garuntee! plus they tested the battery and alternator!!
The battery was unservicable according to their machine! LOL. Its just strange how a battery just dies, usuially the car shows signs like taking a while to start and stuff!!

Had a 911 5 years old come to my work same problem, sometimes the cells just fail

The alternator is fine, the battery was 5 years old and probably just knackered itself out!
All better now!
