Decat/Lambdor sensor???

I was wanting to put a de-cat pipe on but how do I stop the engine management from coming on?

3 options

1. Use a lambda spacer which pulls it out of the gasses way search ebay for one

2. take the lambda out and tie it to chasis and bung hole with a bolt

3. Get a obd2 code reader off ebay £20

I use the code reader on mine and had to use it twice in 8 months

i just used a lambda blanking plug in the decat pipe and unplugged the lambda completely. never seen the light and the car runs perfect.

however i believe its because i had the car mapped with an rs tuner, it used to come on all the time before i had that done.

ive had a custom decat made by jms with no holes for the lamda to fix sits just tucked up in the heatshield. never come out and never had the light on. if your decat has a hole in i would just put a bolt in and tuck away the sensor.

What size bolt is it that fits in the hole?

I have a decat with a spaced lambda and it works a treat

de-cat on my 172 with the lambda in there without any spacer and the light NEVER comes on WIN!

just unplugged my 2nd lambda

Unplugging mine puts on the EML, 3 codes, and runs low on power and plugging it in puts it straitght into limp mode!!
