Decat Question.

May be ordering one today and could do with this being answered so I know what to expect/do ...

Is there any way to stop the engine management (or whatever it is) coming on once you've fitted a Decat??
I read somewhere that you can plug the 2nd Lambda Sensor or something and that stops it but im not sure.

Can anybody shed light into this please.

Remove the second lambda from the hole in the decat and bung the hole with an old sensor (or similar).

Then wrap the sensor in a bag and tywrap it up out of the way leaving it connected to the wiring.

Just for interests sake, why does this technique stop the lights coming on? and is it ok to do this (i.e. any effects on the engine or anything)?

It stops the light coming on as the sensor doesn't get dirty with it not actually being in the cat.

Should have no ill effects on the engine at all.
