i was very lucky i got it from a race team in the clio cup championship so was cheap as it was used, very rare hard to get hold of now as they dont use the 172s anymore.

Had one on my 182. Sounded great, but had to take mine off. I do a lot of motorway mileage, the resonance was absolutely awful.

My dads got a garage so wudnt be that bad what it like on motorways and around town.
Around town, no problem. Motorways, horrendous. I don't mind my cars raw, but getting a headache after 10 mins on the motorway was getting annoying.

I had decat on my mk1 but was stupidly loud. probly because there was no middle or back box on it. lol

Decats are good for performance if thats what you are looking for.

  a thirsty one
i have added a yozza decat to my 182 with a btb exhaust system, its fairl quiet and i would recommend one.

depends what exhaust syetem you use though depends what sound you haveand if it suits your driving/commute.

i love it with the btb but i know some are louder and can be annoying, a de cat is only one part of your system its a case of matching the whole system to your needs/likes

I brought a Magnex (full system) i was wondering if i could decat it, it sound loud now but i want a bit more power if possible. Firstly how much does it cost to decat? (i.e parts n labour) if ne one knows i really wanna get it done tbh but you have to remove it or sumit b4 ur next MOT is it a lot of hassle?

I've got a yozza decat and loud road system on my ph1, it turns heads! Biggest difference I noticed after the decat was how much smoother it is through the gears.

  A4 DTM/iceberg cup
i've been thinking about one for a while but where i live have a bit of a problem. on fri, sat, sun nights the ministry lurk around here pulling anything and everything over (including taxi's which is nice for a change). not sure i fancy getting caught out by them though....

f**king loud, but I don't do many miles so wasn't arsed. Mine was the Janspeed silenced. Sold it to a lad on here.

I had the Piper/GDI 2.5" straight through exhaust system (has a small rear silencer). Was loud but sounded f**king awesome. Still sounds nice, but the decat just made it sound plain mean tbh.

I took it off as I was returning to standard. No other reason. Except maybe the £40 to get it changed over for MOT every time. lol
