DECATS - help asap please!

im gettin a decat, and when i went to get it. he said that because of the lambada sensor there will be warning lights lite on the dash if i have a decat. is this true?

If so what can i do to get round this problem?
If i put the sensor back into the decat pipe as normal will it still be lite?

Yes the emissions light will (probably) illuminate on the dash. Little can be done to get round this bar taking the dash apart to remove the LED in question.

well since you're posting on CLIOsport we can't really help, but it'll be fine with/without the second sensor plugged in, trial and error basically is all i can suggest

Even with the warning light on it'll still run fine. Just ignore the light.

It dosent matter what you do, in 99% of cases the light will always eventually come back on even when youve had it defaulted

I stuck a piece of insulating tape between the light and clock face. You have to take the dash top off in clocks out but its well worth it!
Totally hides the light, cant be seen at all, and dosent damage the light, job done

best way - or you can get one of those fault code readers for like 20 squid these days

Mine lasted a long time before coming back on so when I get the RS Tuner I will just reset it whenever it comes on.

Yeah the £20 code readers should also do the trick

Yep, ^ my old car. Did this with my 182 last week, came on after a day lol!!!. 182's seem more sensitive to it

Just fitted a full yozza system to my 197 - top quality! Lambda probe goes into the pipe still which is good and no emissions warning lights on dash....
