Daz Sep 5, 2005 #2 A decat really is a decat - its nothing more than a piece of pipe, hehe. Williams is different to 16v tho. The one I sold was silenced tho - was quiet, which was good IMO.

Daz Sep 5, 2005 #6 Think my DeCat was Scorpian. Was quite good I guess - quiet so it suited it. I still put the CAT back on tho, heh.

Tom_16v Sep 6, 2005 #8 a normal de-cat is just basically a straight through pipe which makes the exhaust louder. a silenced one is in the same stlye as the standard cat (has a silencer on it) to keep it a bit more quiet. most aftermarket exhausts raise the noise level enough so most people opt for the silenced one. I had a un-silenced one on and it was very loud, which is why Im running a silenced one these days......
