decent jack?

  535d / t5 caravelle
after getting a flat a few months back i realised the standard renault jack in my 172 cup is a complete piece of shi.t, the plastic part where the handle goes through is as good as broke after using it once, as i raised the car it just streched, i lowerered the car back down and went home and got a trolley jack to avoid any miss haps, any one recomend a replacement that will fit in the jack kit preferably, with out the plastic s**t part :)

Nothing realy wrong with the standard jack just need to take care its not desinged to be used constantly.

1st time i'd used it, and had i not lowered the car back down it would have broke without doubt

The same thing happened to my jack on the 172.

This might be better? Metal parts opposed to nasty plastic

yeah, the plastic bit is completly f**king w**k! in fact before it goes in the bin i am going to se if it actually capable of raising my car, without the plastic s**t breaking!

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
standard scissor jacks on peugeots are really good. I've always replaced the nissan ones in my 200sx's with 205 GTI items as i had loads of them

I bought a 2nd hand jack suposedly from a Clio 182 to take the place of my rubbish plastic 172 jack. It had a (IIRC) something like a 20mm nut on the end. The brace obviously fits over the nut to wind the jack up and down.

Is it a 182 jack?

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
How about a Vw Audi item mate. Mine in golf is solid enough, and car weighs as much as Saturn!!
