Decisions

  Volvo S60 D5

When I purchased my Clio in October I had no intention of doing any mods (no matter how small) to it at all, but now Id like to fit some 16" 172 wheels, maybe a light tint on the windows and put a private plate on it.

Now, before I do this I want to make sure that I keep the Clio for considerably longer than I normally keep my vehicles (normally 8-12 months!)

I had toyed with the idea of getting a Toyota MR2 Mk2 for next summer, I can sell the Clio & get an immaculate lowish mileage GT T-Bar and have enough left over to pay off the money I owe my parents for the Clio. The MR-2 has the performance (0-60 in 7.2 and 142mph) and it has a removable roof for the summer! Yay! It also IMO looks damn tasty.

It works out that Ill save about £300 a year by having an MR-2, and will earn about £250 a year extra in interest. Trouble is, it means the hassle of selling the Clio and buying another car!!

I cant really justify any mods to the Clio unless I can make a decision about its future, and I really dont know what to do! Arse!

Buy a 182, or a BMW Z4 if you can afford it... they do a smaller engine size now which is about £25k. Much better than a MR2.

Huh? A Mark 2 MR2 GT T-Bar in immac condition goes for about £3k

Im 20, so there is absolutely no way Id get insurance on a 182 or even a Z4, even if I could afford it (which i cant!) being a Uni Student
