we use all Dell at work, and we've had a shed load with swolen caps on the mother board, and now most of our recent laptops have the dodgy batteries.

Having said that, be a shame if all this caused their stuff to drop in price though - as i could do with a laptop for home!!!

No reports of busting into flames, but we've recalled a lot of batteries at work

checked mine as soon as i heard about it, im in the clear tho. did think i had 1 tho as mine is c5447 and c5446 is on the list.

take the case off and look at the capacitors if the top isnt flat then they are swolen

i have an inspiron 6000 but its battery is not one of the affected ones thank f**k!

My battery is one thats gonna explode they said they'll send it out in up to 20 business days thats ages!!!
