Depahser Pulley cost..

  Blackgold 182
Ive just been quoted £580 from a specialist or £700 from the dealer. Thats for new cambelt kit, aux kit and dephaser pulley.

Will be booking into the dealers as soon as I can!

At your peril! No way in hell would i take my car to a dealer for belts.

For what you're risking i cannot believe you're not going to SWR for the work!:S

Not all specialists have been perfect in the past either tbf.

I'm not going to enter into a debate about whose good at what - all i'm saying is, i know it wouldn't be me taking it to a Renault dealer. If you pick a reputible specialist you simply won't have any problems.

Nothing wrong with using dealers. Just find one where a few people have been. Harratts Pontefract are very good, the after sales chap bends over backwards for you. I paid £600 for belts and dephaser doing last year and everything is well. I also know a load of other happy customers too.

450 is a good deal. Just bought a dephasher and belt kit from Adam on here for c.200 quid. Took 3hours to fit last night, 6hours labour is excessive in my opinion

From having spoken to someone a few months back, lets just say everyone can have a off day ;)

The problem with a main dealer is that they generally wont realise the importance of getting the cam timing exactly correct, where as any specialist should do, it has quite a marked effect on performance if its a little out.
